The remodeled Soldiers Grove Public Library has announced a limited weekday afternoon schedule leading up to the Fourth of July, according to librarian Cele Wolf.

The library is open to the public weekdays through Wednesday, July 3 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.

“We are open, but the library remains a work in progress at this point,” Wolf said. “We have had to overcome some obstacles to get to this point like receiving damaged light fixtures.”

While some details still need attention to complete the project, the library is ready to start serving its patrons.

The Soldiers Grove Public Library will officially resume its regular hours on Monday, July 8. The library’s regular hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the library’s hours are 10 a.m. to noon; 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.; and 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, the library is open 9 a.m. to noon.

Its theme will be ‘Dig In to Read.’ Then, on Tuesday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to noon it will be time to enjoy the musical talents of Magical Mama as she brings out the music inside of everyone.
