Edith M. Latimer, age 92 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wis.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1922 to William R. and Bernice (Corn) Miller in the Town of Stark, Vernon County, Wisconsin.  She grew to adulthood in the Valley and attended Valley Grade School and graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1940.

Edith was united in marriage to Robert Forbes Latimer on July 29, 1960 in Warren, Ohio.  She lived in many places including – Colorado; Michigan; Warren, Ohio; Alexandria, Virginia and returning to Hillsboro in 1986.

She spent many years working in the housekeeping of a fine hotel and later a hospital.  When she returned to Hillsboro she became a member of the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church.  Edith enjoyed many animals, especially cats.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Marveline Miller of Baraboo and many nieces and nephews and their families.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on May 20, 1972; two sisters, Helen Hudnell-Campbell and Dorothy Wilson and three brothers, Richard, Robert and Orlan “Sam” Miller.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Hillsboro Wesleyan Church with Rev. Roger Miller and Rev. Tom Moe officiating.  Burial was in the Howland Township Cemetery at Warren, Ohio.  Friends called at the Church on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.   The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted the family.
