Nina E. Fronk, age 81 years, of Hillsboro, departed this life to meet her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wis. 

She was born on July 17, 1934 to Emil and Frieda (Penshorn) Degner at the same time of her Great Aunt’s Funeral, in the township of Wonewoc, Juneau County, Wis. 

Nina attended Hofmeister Grade School for eight years and graduated from Hillsboro High School Class of 1952.  In 1956, she married David Gross and to this union two children were born, they later divorced.  Nina married Robert “Bob” Fronk on April 23, 1977. 

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro and served in the Women’s Country Circle and Diaconate Board for many years and was an Honorary Deaconess.  She also worked at Hillsboro Floral and at County Market in the deli. 

Survivors are her children, Karla (Leo) Riley of Mauston and Karl (Laura) Gross of Elroy; stepdaughter, Roberta (Ira “Zeke”) Spangler of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Gross, Scott Riley, Brenda Gross, Robert (Miranda) Gross; step grandchildren, Steve Spangler, Amy (Maurice) Condon, Clayton (Jodi) Chapman; great grandchildren, Corbin Gross, Destiny Haun, Dustin Haun, Dylan Haun; step great granddaughter, Kia Zieck and special friend, Donna Janousek. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Frank Dohm; husbands, David Gross and Robert Fronk; and brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Ella Fronk. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Isaac Fleming officiating.  Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.  Memorials are preferred to the First Congregational Church.
