NORTH CRAWFORD-SENECA - The North Crawford-Seneca wrestling team went on the road again, traveling to a dual meet with River Ridge-Cassville.

The NC-S wrestlers put a win in the column after being defeated by Ithaca-Weston last week.  Only giving up two forfeits to their five, the NC-S wrestlers needed one victory to seal the win.

Beau Jelinek wrestled at 152 pounds for the night.  Giving up a takedown and back points early in the first period, Beau was able to get an escape and takedown of his own as time expired in the first period.

As the second period started and trailing by a score of 3-5, Beau was slow to start again and gave up an early reversal.  Now trailing by four points Beau needed to get on the offensive.  As time neared the end of the second period, Beau was able to get a reversal and pin his opponent with only a short time left in the period.  With the win, the team scored its first dual meet victory of the season.

The NC-S wrestlers stay at home to dual the Westby Norsemen on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m., with exhibition matches to follow.

Attendance will be by invite only and the dual will be available through livestream. ‘Like’ North Crawford-Seneca on Facebook to get the livestream link.
