Seneca defeats North Crawford, wins two more and then loses a pair

SENECA - The Monday night softball game between North Crawford and Seneca was delayed an hour, but they were able to play with no rain.  

North Crawford scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning with Sarah Hanson getting on with a walk, stealing second and getting to third on a passed ball. She then scored on an infield grounder by Elizabeth Stovey.  

Seneca then scored in the bottom of the second with Bridget Hagensick getting on with a single to left, stealing second, advancing to third on a bunt by Lindsey Sime and scoring on an infield grounder by Aubrey Wallin.  

Seneca would again score a run in the third.  Seneca did not score again until the bottom of the fifth, then added three to their total. 

 In the bottom of the sixth, Seneca added six more runs to their side of the board, making the final score 11-1.

Prior week

The Seneca softball team played two games last week.   The team travelled to Weston on Tuesday, April 27 and played.  They won 16-2 in five innings.  

The Seneca softball team also travelled to Kickapoo on Thursday, April 29 and won 8-5.

Seneca also played in a triangular in Prairie du Chien on Saturday.  The team lost to Prairie du Chien 11-3, and lost to Bar-neveld 12-0.
