Seneca girls basketball comes back to defeat Wolves

SENECA - The Seneca grils basketball team came back to beat 47 Wonewoc-Center on Thursday Jan. 2 by the score or 47-36.

Seneca senior guard Makenna Greene scored 28 points, grabbed  5 rebounds and had  five assists  and three steals.  Teammate Savanna Wallin scored 12 points and had four rebounds  and four steals. 

 And the freshmen contributed as well–Taylor Snyder scored four points,  Ella Greene had two points and  Grace Check one point.

Seneca head coach Kim Redman was impressed by her scrappy team’s performance agains the Wolves. 

“We were down 24-26 at half and outscored them 23-10 in the second half,” Redman pointed out later. “As a team, we were also 12 of 16 from the free throw line.”
