Forfeits have been on Hillsboro’s side this wrestling season.
With a roster of 18 wrestlers, the Tigers are now in a position to take advantage of the gaps in opponents’ lineups after back-to-back years of giving up four or five weight classes in every dual.
Last Tuesday, Hillsboro improved to 3–0 on the season and 1–0 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference with a dominating 66–12 victory over Necedah.
The Tigers received 10 forfeits, and freshman Dane Bach pinned Patrick Arbanas at 152 pounds to account for 66 points.
There were only three contested matches in the dual.
The Tigers traveled to Brookwood Tuesday night and will now take part in the Richland Center Invitational on Saturday.
