Richard and Mary Kay (Helm) Leahy celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7, 2012. A party in their honor was held with a family dinner in Belmont on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The couple was married on Sept. 7, 1957, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington.
They are the parents of five children: Rick (Amanda), Becky (fiancé Todd Warner), Missy (Bob) Fitzsimons, Stacy Whalen  and Dana (Brent) Weittenhiller. They have 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. They currently reside in Belmont and Laughlin, Nev.
