Housing Authority employees put on administrative leave

Following a closed session meeting Friday, the Boscobel Housing Authority board placed Executive Director Nancy Roth and her husband, Maintenance Supervisor Al Roth, on paid administrative leave indefinitely starting immediately. The move comes amid concerns over a lack of transparency and resident complaints regarding Housing Authority leadership.

“Our auditors are going to go in. We don’t know where it’s going to lead, but we’re going to go through the process,” said City Administrator Arlie Harris.

Harris said the city has little control over the Housing Authority, which is a distinct municipal entity created by the city and funded in large part by the federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Authority is responsible for several city housing projects, including the Gazebo and Briarwood apartments and several duplexes located throughout Boscobel.
