Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (MHLC) is thrilled to announce that it was declared one of the 251 United States hospitals to receive the new Center for Medicare Services (CMS) five Star Ranking.

CMS used survey results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey completed by patients after a hospital stay.  More than 3500 United States hospitals were surveyed to assign the rankings. 

This ranking gives consumers a clearer picture of quality when it comes to choosing a healthcare provider.  MHLC was one of only 25 hospitals from the state of Wisconsin that received the award.  

“We are very proud and grateful. We all work very hard to ensure excellent patient care at MHLC and this is further proof that we are succeeding in our goal,” said Julie Chikowski, administrator of MHLC. “Collectively we contribute to the success of the organization and MHLC’s continued success.”
