Armin Wand pleads guilty
Sentencing on six charges April 17

DARLINGTON — Armin G. Wand III pleaded guilty to six of the eight charges he faced in the Sept. 7 fatal house fire Friday afternooon.

Wand, 33, Argyle, pleaded guilty to three counts of first degree intentional homicide, one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, one count of arson, and one count of felony murder.

Two additional counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide were dismissed but can be used as read-ins at Wand's sentencing.

The charges were in connection to the Argyle house fire that killed Wand's three children, Allen, 7, Jeffrey, 5, and Joseph, 3, plus the Wands' unborn baby, and injuries to Wand's wife, Sharon, and daughter, Jessica, 2.

Wand will be sentenced in Lafayette County Circuit Court April 17 at 1:30 p.m. He faces life in prison on the intentional homicide charges, 60 years in prison on the attempted intentional homicide charge, 20 years in prison on the arson charge, and 15 years in prison on the felony murder charge.
