Felony charges filed in downtown shootings

Felony charges have been filed in connection with the April 5 BB-gun shootings in downtown Platteville.

Brandi L. Wentz, 27, and Danny C. Mabra, 21, both of 66 E. Main St. #3, were charged with criminal damage to property of more than $2,500.

Wentz and Mabra will make their initial appearance in Grant County Circuit Court May 6 at 10 a.m. Wentz also faces a charge of operating a vehicle without owner consent — passenger.

The charges are in connections with BB-gun shootings of downtown Platteville businesses, including the Kopp McKichan law firm and Bridal Boutique, April 5.

Mabra and Dillon Joe Potts, 18, 906 W. Madison St., face two counts of felony bail jumping, one count of driving or operating a vehicle without owner consent, and one count of operating a vehicle without owner consent — passenger.

Wentz also faces charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Terran M. Wilkinson, 17, 685 N. Water St., also faces two charges with two counts of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.
