A Hillsboro man was taken into custody in the City of Mauston  Sept. 23 for operating without a license-second offense.

Police said 55-year-old Michael Antill was driving a 1991 Mercury Marquis in downtown Mauston.  A records check showed his driver’s license had expired.

Antill was cited in April 2013 by Reedsburg police for operating without a valid driver’s license.   A second offense within three years is a criminal offense.

Antill was handcuffed and transported to the Juneau County Jail.
