Lights installed by Boy Scout in Chaseburg vandalized

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office and Vernon County Crime Stoppers are seeking information regarding vandalism to a local Boy Scout’s recently-completed lighting project in the village of Chaseburg.

According to a Crime Stoppers news release, several recently-installed light poles along a walking path were damaged on the night of Sept. 28. The glass lamps were shattered on some of the poles, and one of the poles was knocked off at the base.

Authorities are asking people who know about the crime come forward with information. Tipsters may be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 and will remain anonymous.
