Four drug arrests in two weeks

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department K-9 dog Diego has had a busy two weeks.

Diego was called to a traffic stop at North Oak Street and East Main Street in Platteville May 10 around 8:55 p.m. After the dog alerted to the odor of a narcotic, a search found drug paraphernalia, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Charges are pending against Christopher P. Bonner, 20, Platteville.

Then, on May 11 around 12:07 a.m., sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on Grant County H west of Quarry Road. Diego alerted to the odor of a narcotic, according to the sheriff’s department.

Paula Seeling, 21, Dubuque, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance.

Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia are pending against Seeling’s passenger, Austin Avenarius, 19, Dubuque.

On Saturday, Diego was summoned for a traffic stop in Boscobel. After the dog alerted to the odor of narcotics, Taylor M. Barry, 19, Boscobel, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Barry was also cited for operating after suspension, no proof of insurance, and underage transportation of intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

Then, on Sunday, Cuba City police requested the K-9 unit for a traffic stop.

After Diego alerted to the odor of intoxicants, Sarah Ann Resemius, 19, Roseville, Minn., was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
