Vernon County Crime Stoppers and the Westby Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying a vehicle that severely damaged a utility pole in Westby  Nov. 26.

According to a news release Dec. 23 from Crime Stoppers in Viroqua, between 5-9:30 p.m. a utility pole at the intersection of South Main St. and Coon Prairie Avenue in Westby was struck.

“It is believed that a large vehicle was traveling north on Main St. and then turned onto Coon Prairie Ave. when the pole was struck,” according to Crime Stoppers. “The vehicle had dual tires and could be a semi-tractor, milk truck or other larger truck.”

Tipsters may be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 and will remain anonymous.
