The Driftless Film Festival received a state Department of Tourism Joint Effort Marketing grant of $2,000. The festival seeks to enrich the movie-going experience by providing face-to-face interaction with filmmakers. The Independent films will be featured at the Mineral Point Opera House, Avalon Cinema in Platteville and the Gard Theater in Spring Green. This event brings filmmakers, directors, producer, actors, and film lovers together to entertain and educate about all things film. Goals include attracting 250 overnight guests, 500 day-trippers, and selling a total of 3,000 film tickets.
