Terri Schmit, the “Gourd Girl,” will return to Sinsinawa Mound for “Gourd Art: Whimsies” Saturday, April 6 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Schmit is known throughout the Midwest for her creative style of fashioning gourds into works of art. She will provide participants with gourd pieces, wire, beads, yarns, raffias, and plant materials to assemble them into a fun wall hanging she calls “whimsies.”

Participants can bring a special trinket to add to their piece. All levels of skill can take this class, even children.
