Taste of Boscobel returns to Double Ks Saturday
Taste of Boscobel

The second annual Taste of Boscobel returns to Double K’s Bar & Grill Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Nearly 50 vendors will be participating, both inside the bar, in the city parking lot adjacent to the north, and along Wisconsin Avenue.

This year’s event is a combination of the Wine Walk, Beer Brew HaHa, Mazwell Street Days and Taste of Boscobel all rolled into one big spring festival.

Inside Double K’s you will find wine from several area wineries, including Spurgeon, Wollersheim and Whispering Wine, as well as food samples from Double K’s and Casey’s.

Outside in the parking lot those 21 an older can sample beer from the Wisconsin Brewing Company, Potosi Brewery, Toppling Goliath, New Glarus and Pearl Street breweries. There will also be food samples from BD’s Eagles Nest, Castle Rock Inn, Woolwich Dairy and Blue Boy Bakery.

Along Wisconsin Avenue there will be more food sampling, as well as cosmetics displays and a bounce house from Thunder Showers.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Tom and Boston Jones, as well as Greg Patchak.

Registrants will receive a Wisconsin River Trail seamless wine glass, a Mt. Sterling cheese basket, Dairy Queen coupons and ballots to vote for the best in food, beer and wine.

Tickets are $10 prior to the day of the event and are available at Double K’s, Casey’s, Krachey’s BP, Community First Bank, Sally Waltz’s ERA Realty, contact Darlene Coffey, Melissa Uselman, any of the board members, or go online to www.wirivertrail.org and purchase tickets.  Tickets will be $15 at the door.  This event is only growing in size, and fun is always had by all.
