That Tree exhibit at Sinsinawa Mound Feb. 3March 31
Day 361 March 19

SINSINAWA — The Sinsinawa Art Gallery will host “That Tree — Shades of Wisdom” Feb. 3–March 31.

Professional photographer Mark Hirsch of Platteville spent a year taking daily photos of a lone bur oak tree after he was challenged to use the camera of his new iPhone. Hirsch took the challenge and started sharing the photos online (www.facebook.com/photosofthattree), which resulted in people around the world following his daily shoots and a book (www.thattree.net) chronicling his year with That Tree, and the book That Tree

Hirsch will share how That Tree changed his perspective as he created amazing photos.

The opening reception and gallery talk will be Friday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. That Tree is available at Sinsinawa Book & Gift Gallery.
