School Bus Café is a free after-school snack and activity program open to all children pre-kindergarten to third grade at Platteville United Methodist Church Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. School Bus Cafe children learned about baby Mya’s wish for Valentine’s Day cards on her Facebook page, Mya’s Bucket List. They showered Mya with a large number of creative and colorful Valentine’s Day cards. Director Tracy Harle and the School Bus Café children were rewarded with a special visit by Mya on Feb. 12. Mya’s parents are Jeff Gleason and Niccole Millin of Shullsburg. Mya is 3½ months old with an incurable and untreatable abnormality of the brain and spinal cord called PCH. Most children with this disease do not live past infancy. The disease is so rare that there have been only a handful of documented cases worldwide.
