A 33-year-old Viroqua woman was injured May 14 in a two-vehicle crash in Viroqua township.

Stacy Lombard was was transported by Tri-State Ambulance to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua after the crash, which occurred at 9:50 a.m. on Hwy. 56.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, Lombard was driving northbound near Lewison Road when a vehicle driven by Wayne Pederson, 73, also of Viroqua, pulled out from his mailbox into Lombard’s path. The vehicles collided.

Both he and Pederson were wearing seatbelts.

Assisting at the scene were the Viroqua police and fire departments.

The accident is under investigation.
