Arlene Marie Phalin, 84, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at home with her family by her side.

Arlene was born on September 9, 1929 to Maymee and Tilman (Drake) Mickelson in Vernon County. She married Joseph Phalin on April 7, 1947. Together they raised seven children.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home in Evansville with Reverend Matthew Poock of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, Center Township. A visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
