Heaven got a little sweeter on Oct. 26, 2011, when Lancaster native Dorene Dorothy (Ready) Boardman of Clayton, N.C., quietly and peacefully left this life after a courageous 10-month fight against a rare and aggressive cancer.Funeral and interment were held Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Clayton.
