Douglas W. Speth, 79, of Belmont, died on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services. Doug was born on April 9, 1934 in Belmont, the son of William and Hilda (Bloom) Speth. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont.  Rev. Connie Matye officiated. Burial was at the Belmont Cemetery, where military rites were accorded.  Friends called from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday in Platteville, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.  Full obituary in the June 20, 2013 issue of the Republican Journal.
