John R. Parish, 84, died at home, Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015. 

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the Christian Life Center, West Auditorium, 3489 Little York Rd., Dayton, OH 45414 with Pastor Stan Tharp officiating.  The family received friends at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in John’s memory. John was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville.   Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
