Joseph “Joe” B. Makovec, 92, of Muscoda, WI died Friday, September 25, 2026 peacefully in his sleep. He was born at home March 16, 1934, the first child of Joseph W. and Agnes K. (Studnicka) Makovec.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (314 N. Wisconsin Avenue, Muscoda, WI). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda from 6-8:30 pm with a rosary at 5:45pm. Visitation will also be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11:00 -11:45 am at Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda (710 N. Wisconsin Avenue, Muscoda, WI). Burial immediately following the funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Muscoda, WI where Joseph will be reunited with his wife Elizabeth and sons Patrick and James.

A luncheon will be served after the burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic School gymnasium next to the church.
