Kathleen “Kathy” Richter passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, September 17 at 6:22 pm. She fought a strong and courageous battle with cancer along with chronic health challenges.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. You are welcome to bring a picture of her to display throughout the service. Please wear bright colors in honor of the brightness she brought into everyone’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to a cause close to Kathy’s heart, Cal’s Angels in support of the fight against childhood cancer.
