Prophetstown, Illinois—Margaret “Peggy” Maxine Mortensen passed away on Aug. 4, 2026, at Allure of Prophetstown.

Per Peggy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. She will be laid to rest next to her son, Scott, at a private, graveside service in the Bethel Cemetery in Fennimore, Wisconsin, at a later date. Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of donor’s choice. Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Erie, Illinois, is assisting with arrangements.
