Michael D. Clark, age 53 years, of rural Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro, Wis.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1961 to Bobby and Margaret (Stoikes) Clark in Viroqua, Wis.  He grew to adulthood in the Town of Greenwood and graduated from the Hillsboro High School in 1979.

Michael worked for various farms in the Dane County area, then he returned back home and worked on the family farm in addition to working the past 15 years at Brunner’s in Elroy.

He enjoyed tractors and tractor shows in addition to helping restore some.  Michael was a member of Chapter 4 State IH Club and other local clubs in Richland Center and Westby.  He also enjoyed going snowmobiling and to farm machinery shows with his son and was involved in the Hillsboro Charity Tractor Pull.

Survivors include his son, Mack Clark of Deerfield; parents, Bobby and Margaret Clark of Hillsboro; brothers, Kevin Clark and James (Carla) Clark, both of Hillsboro; sisters, Teresa Clark of Verona and Karen (Thomas) Lacy of Fitchburg and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a niece, Cassandra Clark.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery near Hillsboro.  Friends called at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.  For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
