Nora E. (Quinn) Nelson of Villa Park, Ill., passed away on Jan. 8, 2018 at the age of 90.
She was preceded in death by Seabert J. Nelson beloved husband of 64 years. She was the loving mother of Christine (Jim) Talbot, Michael, Andrew (Deb), Susan (Frank) Owen, Jonathan (Beth) and David. She taught us to be frugal and to believe that tomorrow will be a better day.
Born in Lafayette County and married in Madison.
She was an avid reader who always had a book going and read the Chicago Tribune and hometown Republican Journal of Darlington, WI cover to cover.
A true “Birder” who documented migration patterns by species for decades.
She loved trivia games and was virtually unbeatable at Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit. She was a life long Cub fan. Thank goodness for 2016.
Loving grandmother of Greg (Kathy), Jeff (Meghann), Isaac, Ian (Libby), Isabelle, Michael, Emily, Kate, Patrick, Madeline, Luke, Amanda and great grandmother of Finnegan, Noah, Quinn, Cooper, Sydney, Hunter, Nathan, Zoe and Kalix.
Visitation will be held at Wilder Mansion, 211 S Prospect Ave, Elmhurst, Ill., on Friday, Feb. 2 from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 330 North Westmore Ave., Villa Park on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 10:00 a.m.
