Reverend Father Richard John “Dick” Leffler, 74, died from complications of pulmonary embolism on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 305 E Walnut St, Dodgeville, WI 53533. The Most Reverend Donald J. Hying, Bishop of Madison celebrated the Holy Mass, with the Reverend Father John Meinholz, as homilist. A visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, where a Rosary was said at 12:40 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dodgeville.
