Robert D. “Bob” Burgess, age 89 of rural Shullsburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at his home.  He was born on Aug. 24, 1926 in Seymour Township the son of Henry and Marie (Wiech) Burgess. 

A funeral Service will be held Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (15691 County Road K, Darlington) with Rev. Kurt Thompson officiating.  Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded by Bates-O’Brien-Howe-Wiegel-Roelli American Legion Post #214.  A visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services on Sunday.
