PATCH GROVE – Ruth M Finn, age 92, of Patch Grove, died Tuesday, April, 14, 2020, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster.  She was born on January 13, 1928, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of John and Sarah (Hammel) Tischhauser.  At an early age, her family moved to a farm in Patch Grove, WI.  Ruth started school in Patch Grove and graduated from Patch Grove High School in 1945.  She attended school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison for one year before moving to Dubuque, IA, where she worked in the office at Finley Hospital.  Eventually she came back to the farm to help her parents.  In 1949, Ruth married Lawrence Finn.  They became the parents of one son, John Finn.  She was also the stepmother to Caroline, Lyle, Dorothy, and Larry Finn.
