Virginia Lou (Jenkins) Gibson, 96, of Platteville died Saturday, Oct. 1 following a recent succession of illnesses, first and foremost shingles – for which she was regrettably not vaccinated. Her message to everyone is “Don’t wait. Get the shingles vaccine!”

Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Private graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville.
