Walter P. Howald, 85, of Forreston, Ill. died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital. He was born June 7, 1928 in Thorigen, Switzerland, the son of Paul and Lydia (Leu) Howald.  Walt married Rose Mary Doyle on May 19, 1956 in Darlington.

A memorial visitation for Walter will be Thursday, March 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, 203 3rd Ave. Forreston, Ill.
