Arrows now in Contention
Lancaster boys in control of own destiny and title hopes
Arrows now in Contention
Lancaster and Richland Center battled in SWC action last Friday night, with the Flying Arrows coming away victorious in a 66-47 final. LANCASTER – Don’t look now, but the Flying Arrows are in a three-team race for the Southwest Wisconsin Conference boys’ basketball championship, as teams enter the final three weeks of competition.

River Valley, who sits atop the league standings with an SWC record of 6-1, and Lancaster, who is tied for second at 5-2, are both in control of their own destiny from here on out.

Prairie du Chien (5-2), who is tied for second with the Flying Arrows, still needs a little help, but was able to shake things up last Friday night by handing River Valley its first conference loss of the season.

It’s been a long time since Lancaster has had a boys’ basketball team in contention for a conference title this late in the season, and it’s been 32 years since they’ve won a conference title.

If the Arrows can win  their last three conference games, the title is theirs, but the road isn’t going to be easy.
