Reuter receives SW Tech scholarship
Reuter Brian

The Southwest Tech Foundation announces that Potosi resident Brian Reuter is the proud recipient of the Rayovac Corporation Fennimore Plant Scholarship and the Collins & Hying Plumbing & Heating Scholarship.
The Rayovac Corporation Fennimore Plant Scholarship was established in July 2000, and provides financial assistance to a student enrolled in either the Electro-mechanical Technician or Engineering Technologist programs at Southwest Tech. Rayovac, a leading supplier of batteries, has been partnering with the Engineering Technologist program to help the company’s operators move and manipulate batteries.
Collins & Hying Plumbing & Heating of Dodgeville, a mechanical contractor in the area of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, well, septic, and electrical work, offers a scholarship for Southwest Tech students enrolled in the Electro-mechanical Technology program.
Reuter, previously graduated from Southwest Tech with a degree in Agribusiness/Science Technology.
“Southwest Tech has made a big impact on my life,” Reuter stated. “It has helped me become more interactive with people and meet a lot of new friends from all over the area. I want to work with robotic milkers or some type of equipment in agriculture. So I came back to school to stay on top of the electrical science side of the agriculture business.  It seems things are changing in this field every day and I want to be ready.”
The Southwest Tech and the Southwest Tech Foundation’s Eighteenth Annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony was recently held in the Fred W. Lenz Conference Center on Southwest Tech’s Fennimore campus.  The evening event brought together donors, scholarship recipients, their friends and family, and College staff in celebration of technical education.  Over $95,000 in scholarships were awarded to over 180 Southwest Tech students at this year’s ceremony.
The Eighteenth Annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony was generously sponsored by Kramer & Brownlee LLC of Fennimore and First National Bank of Platteville.
