University of Dubuque May 2018 graduates

DUBUQUE, IOWA—The University of Dubuque celebrated the accomplishments of its undergraduate, graduate, and seminary students at its 166th Commencement ceremonies on May 19.
The University Commencement Ceremony was held in Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center on campus. Over 400 undergraduate and graduate students were eligible to participate in the ceremony. Barbara Smeltzer (C’66), undergraduate student resources advisor and campus mom, delivered the commencement address, titled “Reflections.”
The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary Commencement Ceremony was held in Heritage Center’s John and Alice Butler Hall on campus. Nineteen students received degrees and certificates. Rev. Elmer M. Colyer (MDiv’85), PhD, professor of systematic theology, Stanley Professor of Wesley Studies, and director of the United Methodist Studies Program at UDTS, delivered the commencement address, titled “The Impossibility of Ministry.”
Area students who graduated are: Tiffany Cooley of Potosi, Bachelor of Business Administration; and Kaitlyn White of Potosi, Bachelor of Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude.
