Joseph Sr. and Mary Ann (Havertape) Leahy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 2, 2012. They celebrated their wedding anniversary with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and family members for lunch at Bridges on Sunday, Aug. 5.
The couple met at the Palace Dance Hall in Galena, Ill., and were married on Aug. 2, 1952, at St. Joseph’s Church in Sinsinawa. They are the parents of nine children: Joe (Lori), Gary (Nancy), Dave (Mary), Mary (Tim) Kurth, Steve (Cindy), Kris (Mark) Gross, Danny, Randy (LeAnn) and Jennifer (Patrick) Seibold. They have been blessed with 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They currently reside in Darlington.
