Peckham, Manke take vows
12-8 wedding Manke
Jane and Reed Manke

Paul and Julie Peckham are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Jane Elizabeth, to Reed Brenden Manke, son of Rick and Shan Manke of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The wedding ceremony took place on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Richland Center, with close family friend Fr. Eric Berns officiating at the nuptial Mass.

Janie chose her sisters Ellie Stanek and Elizabeth Green as her bridesmaids, with her youngest sister Kathleen Peckham serving as Maid of Honor. The flower girls were Janie›s niece Gabrielle Novy, along with Nyla and Neve West (cousins of the bride) and Madeleine and Clara Nash (friends of the bride). Ryan Manke and Rory Manke served as their brother›s Best Men and longtime friend Eric Frankberg served as a groomsman. Ushers included Jesse Peckham, Will Peckham and John Paul Peckham, brothers of the bride.

George Laubmeier (friend and former piano teacher of the bride) provided the piano and organ music for the ceremony, accompanied by Martin Spicer on trumpet. Vicki Faber, aunt of the bride, directed a choir made up of family members: Jesse Peckham on bass, Paul Peckham on acoustic guitar, and choir members Will Peckham, John Paul Peckham, Greg Peckham, Rose Peckham and Elizabeth Peckham. Courtney Schmidt, friend of the family, also sang in the choir.

The readings were done by Edmund Guelig and John Guelig, uncles of the bride, and John Eberhart, uncle of the groom. Gift bearers included Mary Richardson and Jill Heggestad, both aunts and godmothers of the couple. Assisting Fr. Berns during the Mass were altar servers Brandon Brewer and Isaac Jones.

After the ceremony the celebration began at the bride’s family home. An outdoor garden reception was held, with classical piano music performed by Jesse Peckham and John Paul Peckham. After the wedding toasts were made, the bride’s six siblings pulled off a surprise rendition of a popular song, tailoring the lyrics to fit the bride and groom. The evening ended with wedding guests dancing to the music of the band Late 4 Dinner.
