Cable Car Travel closing

Cable Car Travel of Platteville is closing Friday after 37 years.

Manager Lynn Conlan is moving to Superior in August to be with her grandchildren, and employee Stacey Skinner is moving back to Montana to be near her family. With her employees leaving, owner Becky Peters declded to close the business.

Cable Car Travel opened on the mezzanine level at the former Dick’s Supermarket in 1976, and later moved
to 10 E. Pine St. The office was owned by Lloyd and Rebecca Peters, but after the death of Lloyd in 2010, Becky assumed ownership.
