The Marketplace in Gays Mills has been much busier these days. They have cut back staff to accommodate employees’ personal and family needs, and for that reason have also changed their hours. They’re currently open until 9 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. Starting next week, Mon through Sat will be closing at 8 p.m. and at 7 p.m. on Sundays. If you’re planning to shop at the Marketplace near opening or closing time, it might be worth calling first to make sure they’re open. They’ve been trying to keep up with stocking and ordering of products that the community needs. They’re staying within the CDC guidelines for cleaning and services. Therefore no self-serve items, ie coffee, ice cream. Otherwise the deli is still full service including pizza, sub sandwiches, no tacos for now, maybe next week.

The Wooden Nickel is open regular hours Thursdays, Fridays ad Saturdays and offering curbside service of their full menu including unopened bottled beers and liquors. They will have specials each of those days. They are following recommended guidelines for service and precautionary measures. Jerry Books and crew are taking advantage of this time and are updating and deep cleaning their facility and doing inventory. They want to relay their gratitude to their faithful and generous customers.
Kickapoo Exchange Natural Foods Co-op.

The Kickapoo Exchange Natural Foods Co-op in Gays Mills is now operating under reduced hours, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some quantities are limited but fresh fruits, vegetables and groceries are arriving weekly. Ask about special orders. The co-op is doing all they can to serve you and keep our community well fed. Sales will be curbside pick up only. No customer access inside of store.
To place an order, call store and leave your name and phone number only, they will call you back to get your entire order. Or email your order to kickapooexchange@gmail.com. They will then do your shopping, box it for you and deliver it outside the co-op door when you are there to pick it up.

Open the same hours as usual, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. last wash by 9:45 p.m. Andy and Laura Patten, attendants, are there from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their attendant hours will not change unless they get sick. In that case the facility would still be open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. but there would not be attendant hours. They want you to know they are there for their customers, and are keeping things extra clean, sanitizing all surfaces literally as customers leave the building. The Happy Hour pricing (that was supposed to be through March) will continue indefinitely, from 4-6 daily $2 off washers, $1 off dryers. Many donations from the community have allowed County Seat Laundry to offer free services - with the donations funding the utility costs and Laura and Andy donating their time.
Free services include:
Free washing and drying for anyone who feels they have a financial need for such a service. Call first to arrange this with Laura and Andy. This service is offered during the time when Laura and Andy are there which is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pick and Delivery service: Freepick up and delivery with free washing, drying, and folding for those who feel they need the free service and who do not to or cannot leave their home.
Pick up and Delivery service:
Reducedto $1.25/pound for pickup, wash, dry and fold service for those who can afford to do so but do not want to leave their homes, within the service areas of Ferryville, DeSoto, Victory, Genoa, Stoddard, Viroqua, Liberty Pole, Westby and Coon Valley and in LaCrosse south of highway 157 and within 1 mile of highway 61/Losey Blvd.,
County Seat Laundry is on the north side of Viroqua on Highway 14 next door to the McDonalds.

Burkum’s Milling Company in Soldiers Grove is open their regular hours Monday through Saturday 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. They have created a walk-up window where you can place your order for their products in the store and from the feed mill, or, call to place your order. Pick-up for all purchases will be at the front side-door. Credit cards and checks only.
