Charlie Rowe, son of Mike and Susie Rowe of Platteville, was the recipient of the $3,000 2012 First Place Scholarship given by the Young Professionals Club, a committee of the Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin.

Rowe was nominated by Sheri Stewart of Tricor Insurance, who said, “Intelligent, motivated, dedicated, sincere, team-player and personable are words I would use to describe Charlie. He’ll be an asset to any company he works for and to the community as well. Charlie is the entire package, and the best part is he truly cares for those around him.”

Rowe is a 2009 graduate of Platteville High School and will graduate UW–Eau Claire in 2013 with a double major in Math and Physics. He plans to pursue a career in Actuarial Science, and has already passed two of the exams needed for that designation.
