Police busy for Homecoming

Platteville police were busy during UW–Platteville’s Homecoming weekend with alcohol-related violations.

On Oct. 18, Tyler S. Benzing, 21, Platteville, was ticketed for loud and unnecessary noise after a caller to police complained about “loud and unnecessary noise” at 345 S. Hickory St. Kristopher Russell Rebman, 19, Platteville, was ticketed for underage drinking.

Brittney N. Latour, 18, Platteville, was ticketed for underage drinking at Southwest Road and Markee Avenue Oct. 19 at 2 a.m.

One night later, Nathen R. Downs, 21, Rewey, was ticketed for open intoxicants outside Brothers on Second Bar, 90 N. Second St., at 1:34 a.m.

The night of Oct. 20 started with Brandon J. Navin, 18, Hartford, and Kyle L. Becker, 19, Platteville, ticketed for underage drinking and open intoxicants. Joseph Richard Buchart, 18, Platteville, was ticketed for underage drinking. The three were cited in front of 80 W. Main St. at 10:17 p.m.

Sarah E. Becker, 24, Hartford, and Nicholas M. Rice, 25, Lena, Ill., were ticketed for open intoxicants for walking on Elm Street at Mineral Street with cans of Budweiser at 11:02 p.m.

Zachory A. Amarose, 17, Orangeville, Ill., was ticketed for open intoxicants and underage drinking for walking with a can of Miller Lite at 345 W. Main Street at 11:49 p.m.

Bryce M. Corrigan, 20, Platteville, and Oswaldo Valle Bryant, 20, Dubuque, were ticketed for open intoxicants and underage drinking at South Hickory Street and Southwest Road at 12:11 a.m.

Zachary D. Steffel, 21, Platteville, and Gavin M. O’Dell, 22, Lancaster, were ticketed for having open intoxicants outside Brothers on Second Bar, 90 N. Second St., at 1:13 a.m.

Corey J. Marks, 21, Platteville, was ticketed for open intoxicants for having an open bottle of Miller Lite beer outside Schoolgirlz, 55 N. Second St., at 1:45 a.m.
