Delete Timmy J. Reichling appeared in Lafayette County circuit court on Tuesday, Sept. 24 and pled not guilty to the multiple charges that have been filed against him in regards to the child porn case that was uncovered recently in Darlington.
Reichling, who was arrested on August 22 after a search warrant was executed at his residence, has been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, three counts of being a registered sex offender who intentionally photographed a minor without consent and five counts of being in possession of child pornography.
According to the criminal complaint, more than one million child pornographic images were found on multiple electronic storage devices at Reichling’s home during the search conducted by authorities.
According to the criminal complaint, this case dates back to 2010, when it is believed that first contact was made between a 13-year-old girl and Reichling, posing under the alias of Nathan Solman, through the internet.
The girl told police that she believed she was in contact with someone around her age, said the criminal complaint, and that when the person she was communicating with asked her to send naked pictures, she complied. However, when she eventually wanted to stop, he threatened to show the photos to her family and she felt forced to continue.
This interaction continued for several years with Reichling using various aliases and according to the criminal complaint, he would leave a camera in the girl’s backyard every night or every other night and instruct her to take naked pictures of herself with it and then return the camera to the same spot.
According to the criminal complaint the girl explained during an interview with police that she did not want to take the pictures, but felt “she had to because of what ‘Nathan Solman’ would do” if she stopped.
“This remains an ongoing investigation,” said Wisconsin ICAC task force commander, special agent in charge Jenniffer Price. “We have reason to believe there are other possible juvenile victims who have yet to be identified, both in Wisconsin and out of state. We’re asking anyone who thinks they may have information, or who may be a victim, to please come forward.”
Officials urge anyone with information to contact the Department of Justice—Division of Criminal Investigation at 608-266-1671 or the Darlington Police Department at 608-776-4981.
A bail amount of $1 million was set at Reichling’s initial court appearance on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Reichling will next be in court on Oct. 30 at 9 a.m. for a scheduling conference.
