PLATTEVILLE — A traffic stop for not having headlights on at night resulted in an arrest for marijuana possession Sunday night.

Platteville police stopped a car driven by Nicole R. Haak, 18, Oregon, at Alden Avenue and Rountree Avenue around 10 p.m.

Haak told officers she was test-driving the car of her cousin. Then, Tanner M. Czecholinski, 19, Oregon, came up to the car and was allowed to sit in it to stay warm.

Officers saw Czecholinski reach under the passenger seat. A search discovered a small amount of marijuana and four pipes, according to police.

Czecholinski was cited for possession of marijuana. Haak was cited for operating after suspension and non-registration of a motor vehicle.
