Livingston Summer Celebration Festival is this weekend

Livingston’s biggest annual event, the Summer Celebration Festival, will be held this weekend.

The new feature this year is an Old West Shootout, with performances during the parade Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and in Memorial Park after the parade, including gunfights, bandits and a shooting show.

The annual village-wide garage sale will be held Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.

An old-timers’ softball game will be held Friday at 6 p.m. The men’s fast-pitch softball tournament will start Friday at 8 p.m. and continue Saturday and Sunday, with the championship game Sunday at 3 p.m. A co-ed volleyball tournament will be held Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Live music will be performed at the ballpark Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m.

The annual Livingston All School Alumni Dinner will be held at Rebel’s Northern Exposure Saturday at 5 p.m. The Livingston Fire Department and First Responders steak sandwich dinner will be held at the fire station Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. The Fill the Pantry Fun Run/Walk will start at the fire station Saturday, with registration at 7 p.m.

Livingston Free Methodist Church will host a free outdoor family movie Saturday at dusk, and an old fashioned ice cream social Sunday at 3 p.m.

The craft show and vendor sale will be held at the fire station Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. An ecumenical church service will be held at Bell Park Sunday at 9:30 a.m. At Memorial Park, a chicken barbecue will start at 10:30 a.m., a car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and kids’ activities include the Kiddle Pedal Tractor Pull at 11 a.m.

The parade will be held at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Dance Elite performance at 2:30 p.m.
