Mental health is focus of Lyme disease support group meeting

The June meeting of the Lyme disease support group for residents of Juneau, Monroe, Richland, Sauk and Vernon counties is scheduled for June 26 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Hillsboro Public Library meeting room, 819 High Ave., Hillsboro.

The June meeting will offer a focus on mental health, said by Dr. Sheila Statlender to be “the invisible aspect of tick borne disease.”
Statlender, a practicing clinical psychologist in Newton, MA, provides individual and family counseling to patients diagnosed with tick borne disease.

Those afflicted with a tick borne disease such as Lyme disease, or those seeking to increase understanding of tick borne illnesses, their prevention and their treatment are invited to attend.
