Gays Mills Library adds hours

The Gays Mills Public Library will be adding a couple hours to the weekly schedule beginning Monday, Feb. 4.  Since moving into the new library at the beginning of 2012, the library board hoped to increase hours making the library more available to the communities it serves.

While the goal of being open full time was not achievable in 2013, adding two more hours to the schedule was. Striving for more consistency in the hours, the new schedule reduces hours on some days and adds hours on others.

The library will be open on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. The library will be open on Wednesday for an additional hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday hours remain the same, from 1 - 5 p.m. Saturday hours will be shortened to 9 a.m. to noon.

The Gays Mills Library Board has made it a priority to find the means to continue adding hours in the future to make sure that as many people as possible have access to the library. However, even if the library building is closed, all library cardholders with an Internet connection can look up and reserve items through the online catalog.  If you want to know more about how your library card works for you, call or drop by the Gays Mills Public Library, located in the new Gays Mills Community Commerce Center at 16381 State Highway 131.
